The website at webcammic.com is operated under the name WebCam-Mic-Tester. Our focus is a useful browser-based device check: preview your camera, watch microphone input levels, record a sample, play it back, and download it if you want to keep it.

You can enable the camera and microphone independently. Additional controls, including device selection, resolution requests, mirroring, snapshots, and a speaker test, stay behind the Extras button.

Local media, clear boundaries

The tester processes camera and microphone media in your browser. It does not upload your recordings or snapshots to our server. Files are saved to your device only when you request a download.

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. Google Analytics loads automatically on the production domain to measure website usage, separate from your local camera and microphone media. Our privacy policy explains hosting requests, analytics cookies, and the theme preference stored on your device.

A practical test, not a guarantee

Results depend on your browser, operating system, permissions, and connected devices. Camera dimensions and frame rate are reported settings, not a professional quality score or a scan of every supported mode. A successful test here does not replace checking permissions and device choices in your meeting application.

Recordings are held in browser memory. Keep your device awake, stop and download periodically, and save anything important before leaving the page.
